A Word to Reflect On

So I, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called [that is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior–a life that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation], with all humility [forsaking self-righteousness], and gentleness [maintaining self-control], with patience, bearing with one another in [unselfish] love. Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful]. And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].

Wow… what a word for us all to reflect on and to even be more intentional about that The Heavenly Father would be glorified. I mean, what if we all approached situations like, you know what.. It’s not about who’s right and who’s wrong in this or that, but I am choosing to make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful]. Wow imagine what glory the Father would get from our lives when we applied this word even the more.

Father, help us all to not skim this word but aim to live out this word for Your glory. Forgive us when we have not applied this to our actions. For we do ask for Your supernatural assistance as we yield ourselves to Your work within. Amen
